Prof. Nazarius Tumwesigye of the Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH) has urged policy makers to pass new laws that will address the rising levels of alcohol abuse in Uganda. Speaking at the Alcohol and Harm Symposium held at MakSPH on 24th May 2019, Prof Tumwesigye said Ugandan laws are old and inefficient to curb alcohol abuse.
